RMV reports slow performance processing Registrations in SinglePoint

The RMV has informed us that their ATLAS system has been experiencing slowness when processing Registration renewals and reinstatements online and at their branch locations. Please be aware this also impacts SinglePoint.

If you experience delays or errors when trying to process the Reg renewal or reinstatement in SinglePoint, please do not try to run the transaction again.  It is likely “in process” and, if given a few minutes, may be get processed successfully.

We also recommend that if you and your consumer receive an automated email from SinglePoint indicating there has been an error, wait a couple minutes and then look up the plate status via SinglePoint RMV Services / Inquiry feature. It is possible the transaction was completed.  Statuses may include:

  • VRGVAL – Plate is valid. The transaction ultimately succeeded
  • VRGNRN – Plate is valid but cannot be renewed due to a parking ticket or other restriction
  • VRGREV – Plate is still revoked (this may not be able to be resolved over the weekend)
  • VRGEXP – Plate is active/reinstated but is expired and needs to be renewed. This can be done online at the RMV, via postal mail or within SinglePoint for an additional fee

We will be assisting the RMV in resolving this matter. Of course do not hesitate to contact us for technical support should you run into problems.  We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you!
