We’re updating SinglePoint in an effort to reduce quote errors caused by incorrect or missing information in certain fields.
Beginning Thursday May 22, 2025, the following fields on the Dwelling tab are required for all Home and Dwelling Fire quotes:
- Construction Type
- Occupancy
- Number of Families
However, please note these fields can be defaulted in your SinglePoint Settings.
To set defaults, your SinglePoint Manager should go to:
SinglePoint Settings > Rating & Printing > Home Rating Default, then select values from the dropdown menus.
REMEMBER: Setting a default value for a specific field will save you time when entering data for a quote. This is the purpose of a default, of course. However, it may cause you to overlook the field during the quoting process and result in an inaccurate quote. So we recommend you scrutinize all fields during the quoting process.
